Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Frogmouth Ponds located?
We're based in Port Sorell, Tasmania — a small working apiary on the state's pristine northwest coast. Our honey, beeswax products and beekeeping courses all come directly from our own hives.
Do you ship honey and beeswax products across Australia?
Yes. We ship all honey, lip balm, candles and beekeeping supplies Australia-wide from Tasmania. Free shipping is available on qualifying orders at checkout.
Is your honey raw and unheated?
Yes. Every batch is cold-extracted and never heated at any point. This preserves live enzymes, natural pollen and the delicate floral compounds that commercially processed supermarket honey loses.
What makes Tasmanian honey different from regular honey?
Tasmania's geographic isolation and World Heritage wilderness create unique floral sources found nowhere else on Earth. Our leatherwood honey contains 4-MMA — a bioactive compound exclusive to Tasmania that can't be replicated.
Can I visit the apiary?
Yes — we run hands-on beekeeping courses at our Port Sorell apiary. Check our course page for upcoming dates. Casual visits are welcome by arrangement.
