Pure, Raw, and Unfiltered. More Than Just Honey.

We are Educators, Makers, and Keepers of 100% Cold-Extracted Tasmanian Honey.

The Frogmouth Standard:

Why Our Honey Tastes Different Not all honey is created equal. At Frogmouth Ponds, we believe the best honey is the kind we don’t ‘make’—it’s the kind we protect.

Cold-Extracted & Raw:

We never heat-treat our honey. This preserves the natural enzymes and delicate floral aromas of the Port Sorell wilderness that supermarket processing destroys.

A Taste of the North-West:

Our hives are permanently situated in the rich biodiversity of Northern Tasmania. This 'Micro-climate' allows our bees to forage on unique local Clover, Blackberry, and Native Eucalypts, giving every jar a distinct, buttery finish.

Radical Transparency:

No blends, no glucose, and no hidden steps. Just pure nectar, straight from the hive to your table.

Hi, I'm Stewart. The Heart and Hands Behind Frogmouth Ponds.

As a dedicated Tasmanian Beekeeper, Educator, and Craftsman, I oversee every aspect of our work—from managing the hives in our Port Sorell apiary to designing the woodworking you see in our shop.

My commitment is simple: to combine sustainable apiculture practices with expert knowledge to ensure every jar of Tasmanian honey tells a story of quality and care. Whether I’m teaching the next generation of beekeepers or harvesting a fresh summer frame, my goal is to respect the bees and the environment they call home.”

Is Frogmouth Ponds honey raw?

Yes. Our honey is 100% raw and cold-extracted. We never heat or fine-filter it, so you get the full health benefits and flavor profile.

Crystallization is the best proof that your honey is real! Pure, unheated honey will naturally solidify. To liquefy it, simply place the jar in warm water (under 40°C).

Due to strict biosecurity laws protecting local bees, we cannot ship honey to Western Australia or the Northern Territory. We ship everywhere else in Australia!
